While growing up in Houston can be risky, there is hope.  As a leader in research and advocacy, CHILDREN AT RISK is the voice that speaks out for all of Houston's children.  From educating the community about pressing children’s issues to collaborating with service providers, children’s non-profits, and attorneys to drive positive change, CHILDREN AT RISK is hard at work to address the needs of children.  We provide lawmakers and public officials with policy analysis, statistics, and agendas for change. Our Public Policy & Law Center, the only center in Texas dedicated specifically to children’s legal needs, drives macro-level change for children in the areas of public education, physical and mental health, juvenile justice, human trafficking, and child welfare.
